Our District Secretary, Ken Keable, recently addressed the Free Speech Society at the University of Bristol on the subject “The London Recruits and South Africa’s Fight for Freedom”. He told the inspiring story of the young people (including himself) who were sent in to apartheid South Africa to assist the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party in their liberation struggle. Ken was recruited for this work through the Young Communist League and is the editor of the book London Recruits – the secret war against apartheid. You can see a video of the event here:
