This years Tolpuddle festival was blessed with plenty of sunshine and a very high attendance on the Sunday. Cars and coaches filled three fields and road side verges all the way to the Affpuddle junction. This was surely in part due to the presence of the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, the first Labour leader to attend for many years, but also in response to the unremitting attacks on the working class by the Tories. Solidarity comrades!

We come, our country’s rights to save,
And speak a tyrant faction’s doom:
We raise the watch-word liberty;
