-The regular Friday 2-5.30pm Save Poole Hosp demo in front of Poole Hospital Longfleet Road has now come to an end. -Swanage Protection Camp. Planning permission expired on the 3rd December. Great work by the anti-fracking camp who set up on the land to prevent any work by the gas company. The camp has now been dismantled. 19th Nov Saturday 12noon-3.00pm. Street Stall Bournemouth Square ‘Save Our Hospital Services’ to highlight the proposed reductions in our health services, get more signatures on the petition. Veterans for Peace joined us so that we had a Welfare not Warfare theme. Collected numerous signatures and handed out leaflets about the STP. Worthwhile exercise. We’ll be doing similar event in Poole 17th Dec. The campaign against reductions to our hospital services. There have been a number of public council meetings in Dorset, Poole and Bournemouth that members of KONP Dorset have been attending and putting questions to the boards about the Clinical Services Review and Sustainability and Transformation Plan. Also the public consultations began on 1st Dec and go on until the 27th Feb. Details of how you can be involved with the consultation go to dorsetforyou.gov.uk. Details available on relevant website/social media. -17th December Saturday 12-3pm Stall, Save our Hospital services campaign with KONP Dorset in Poole Town centre in front of Large Sainsbury’s near Weatherspoons -3rd January ‘Action for Rail’ day of action demanding publicly owned railway. See website for details of stations near you where there will be a demo. -16th January Monday 7.30-9.30pm Sheila to talk on the work of the DPA to local Positive Money group. Cricketers Arms Bournemouth, all welcome (please). -19th January Thursday 7-9pm People’s question time St Pancras Church London ‘Brexit, what are our demands’. Organised by the National People’s Assembly. -27th January Friday 10am-7pm ‘Journey to Justice’ exhibition Shire Hall Dorchester. -28th January Saturday Hands off Our NHS march in London. -4th March Saturday 12pm London Health Campaigns Together/ KONP march and rally. We hope to be arranging transport for this.
