Now

This was the first one of the ‘NOW’ series I made in 2015 and is made up of photos taken out of a book on war photography. I have tried not to use well known photographs but in this case the top middle one is by Henri Cartier-Bresson, one of many he took showing the fate of collaborators at the end of the Nazi occupation of France; this and the image at the top right show how hate dehumanises us. The lower middle image is of a ‘gentleman’ officer being waited upon whilst the lower right image is the other side of the class war; revolution. There is a disturbing continuity of imperialist destruction from the beginning of last century to the present, bombed out buildings from the blitz resemble those from Gaza, this is why I call these collages Now.
