The Morning Star Election Special, a report from South Dorset.

Comrades in Weymouth were able to distribute almost one hundred copies of the election special edition of the Star. Copies of the paper were taken to meetings and demonstrations in Weymouth and Dorchester. In addition to this, libraries and cafes were donated issues. Pete Treglown of Dorset Branch took some to Honiton in Devon and handed them out to Labour and Lib Dem campaign stalls, and personally gave one to the Conservative candidate there.

Many members of the public were sympathetic to the pro Labour stance of the Star and this was good for engaging in further discussions regarding the issues facing public services. All in all it was a good and useful move by the Star as it has increased its exposure greatly.
